A composting toilet utilizes the natural process of decomposition and evaporation for recycling the waste. Approximately 90% of the waste that enters the toilets is water. This is evaporated and carried back into the atmosphere via the venting system. The remaining solid material is then converted into the useful fertilizing soil with the process of natural decomposition. How does a Composting Toilet Works?
- There is a unique Sun-Mar Bio-Drum that ensures the aerobic microbes flourish and works briskly for breaking down waste and converting it back to earth.
- The waste and peat mix bulking material enters via the waste inlet port which is located at the top of the drum. Here it is mixed and aerated and then rotated periodically only by turning its handle located on the front. While the waste is being rotated, the inlet door closes automatically and keeps the compost in the drum.
- Now, for emptying this compost from Bio-drum, there is a release drum locket button that rotates the drum in the backward The inlet port of this bio-drum opens up automatically, and in this way, the compost drops directly inside the compost finishing drawer.
- Once the compost is dropped, this bio-drum comes back to its dead center position automatically to receive new waste material.
